Our cottage is a former Coach House in the grounds of our home, Farnley Manor. The whole of downstairs is a super open plan space, oak flooring, comfy seating, made to measure curtains and blinds from The Chateau Collection by Angel Strawbridge. Cushions, clocks etc from At Home in the Country...of course! Our kitchen was bespoke made and fitted by a local craftsman who also ended up doing the whole renovation! A kite winder staircase leads upstairs to the landing, two large bedrooms and a family bathroom.
Farnley Tyas is a beautiful and historic village surrounded by wonderful countryside. Woodland walks and sprawling fields our on our doorstep. Everyone in the village knows everyone else, if
you pass anyone on the road you will probably end up chatting for a while and learn something new!
We have a very popular and proper village pub/restaurant The Golden Cock. You might come through the door and find a live guitarist and the locals having too much fun as usual! There is also a recently opened cafe around the corner called Field. It serves amazing breakfasts, lunches and they sell the most amazing sourdough bread to take away.
On a Sunday, the service at St Lucius Church starts at 10:30am.
